A Message from the Club President
I am privileged to be
the president of the Lions Club in Kearney Missouri for the fiscal year
2011-2012. We hope with this website everyone will come to know about
this club’s profile and the humanitarian work that we have done. Please
check back often as our site is being updated, we plan to add some good
information, pictures of past and upcoming events and much information
about our projects and club meetings.
Our club was
chartered in 1950. Since that time the club has been involved in many
service projects that have benefited the citizens of Kearney and local
charity organizations. There are roughly 1.4 million Lions on the planet
and we all have a similar theme, we make life better. The Kearney Lions
Club does have a few rules that we must follow. Firstly, membership is
by invitation. Secondly, EVERY dollar that we make through our
fundraisers will go back to the community that we serve.
Our service projects
are a number one priority to serve the community better, so we seek your
continued support through our fundraisers, like the “Jesse James
Showdown Mud Run”. It is a pleasure to bring this event to Kearney and
because of you it has become one of the most popular mud events in the
four state areas. We sincerely thank ALL the people involved that make
it possible; our sponsors, participants and spectators that come to
support us year after year!
